How to reach the venue
The workshop will be held in the “Sa Duchessa” building, home to the Department of Letters, Languages and Cultural Heritage . The “Sa Duchessa” building is located at N°. 1 Piazza d’Armi and can easily be reached by public transport.
By bus
The No. 8 bus leaves from Piazza Matteotti (the square in front of the railway station) and after 11 stops arrives in viale Merello opposite the Engineering Faculty. Go up to the end of the street and cross Piazza d’Armi: the “Sa Duchessa” building is in front of you.
Alternatively, you can catch the No. 5 bus from Via Roma, next to the railway station. After 7 stops you arrive in Piazza d’Armi, right in front of the “Sa Duchessa building.”

By taxi

How to reach Cagliari
By plane
Cagliari Elmas is Sardinia’s main airport with flights operating to and from most major Italian cities and particularly from Rome and Milan. The airport is about 8km from the town and the journey takes about 15mins by taxi (see the section “By taxi”). The airport is connected to Cagliari Elmas railway station. The No. 8 bus to the Sa Duchessa building leaves from the Railway station in Piazza Matteotti.
By boat
Cagliari is connected with several other Italian ports. The port leads on to Via Roma. As you come out of the port, turn left and walk along Via Roma, until you get to Piazza Matteotti, from where you can catch the No.8 bus to the conference venue.
By train or bus
Cagliari can also be reached by train and bus from all the other main Sardinian ports and airports.
From Porto Torres you can get to Cagliari by train (www.trenitalia.com) or by bus (www.ferroviesardegna.it).
From Olbia take the bus or train (ww.trenitalia.com; www.turmotravel.it)
From Arbatax you can get to Cagliari by bus (arst.sardegna.it)
From Alghero you can reach Cagliari by bus (logudorotours.it).
Both the bus and train station are in Piazza Matteotti. Take the No. 8 bus from here to get to the venue.
By car
The SS.131 linking Sassari and Cagliari is Sardinia’s major highway. As you near the town of Cagliari, follow the signs for “Cagliari centro” (centre) to reach the venue. On arriving at the traffic lights in Piazza Matteotti, turn left into Largo Carlo Felice and carry on until you reach Piazza Yenne. Continue climbing up along Via Cammino Nuovo, Via San Giorgio, Via Porcell, and Via Fiume. When you arrive at the crossroads, turn left into Viale Buoncammino: at the end of this road you will find Piazza d’Armi, which you need to cross. The “Sa Duchessa” building is in front of you.
