Prof. Valèrie Heitz, Universitè de Strasbourg
Multicomponent systems with porphyrins: switchable nanocontainers and molecular theranostic agents
Valérie Heitz is Professor at the Chemistry Department of the University of Strasbourg. She obtained her PhD with Prof. J.P. Sauvage in 1992 and completed her education as postdoctoral researcher with Pr. A. Harriman (University of Austin, USA). Since 2010, she is the leader of the “Laboratoire de Synthèse des Assemblages Moléculaires Multifonctionnels”. She was co-organizer of two international meetings in Strasbourg, the 19th ISPPCC in 2011 and the 10th ISMSC in 2015. She belongs to the International Centre for Frontier Research in Chemistry (ic-FRC) in Strasbourg. Her main interests include supramolecular coordination chemistry, the development of multicomponent systems incorporating porphyrins, dynamic cages as functional nanocontainers and multifunctional molecules for theranostic applications. She is co-author of 100 publications in international journals.
