SyNERGY MED 2019<\/strong> will be hosted by the University of Cagliari and the Municipality of Ussaramanna, and it will be held in Cagliari – Sardinia, Italy. Cagliari offers many attractions: sun, sea, sights and natural landscapes of special charm. Blessed with a mild climate, the regional capital of Sardinia is a town full of fascinating history and friendly people. Located on\u00a0the southern side of the island, Cagliari is linked to the mainland by the port and the airport.<\/p>\n

It has been inhabited for a very long time, and owes its features to a melting pot of traditions, architectural styles and habits, influenced in turn by the former Roman, Byzantine, and Spanish dominations. A blend of the old and the new, Cagliari is at the same time a historical cultural city and a leading centre of the Sardinian economy. Get to know the city through three big themes: history, described from the first urban settlements to the present day; culture, presented in all its\u00a0forms and\u00a0events; and nature, which in Cagliari manifests itself above all in the beaches and humid zones which surround the city.<\/p>\n

Cagliari offers a lot both to casual tourists and people passionate about the zone. Sea cities have similar characteristics because of the mix of cultures which have lived there\u00a0for centuries. Cagliari, from the Phoenician period to the present day, has been a strategic area, a city in the centre of commercial and cultural traffic in the big \u201cMare Nostrum\u201d. Cagliari, capital of the Mediterranean: a city which looks out onto the sea and is reflected in it.\u00a0The University of Cagliari, the Studium Generalis Kalaritanum was founded in 1606 along the lines of the old Spanish Universities of Salamanca, Valladolid and L\u00e9rida. At the moment the University of Cagliari is one of the largest enterprises in the Region of Sardinia, thanks to its international policy, studies and its numerous agreements with prestigious universities in Europe and around the world.<\/p>\n
