The train service starts at 6.00 am and ends at 22.00 with trains running almost every 20 minutes. The journey to and from the center takes 5-10 minutes. Tickets are sold by Trenitalia at the vending machines (both in the arrivals area of the airport and inside the Elmas airport train station) or online. The Elmas airport train station is about a 5-minute walk from the arrivals area. The quickest option from the airport is to take a taxi. A standard trip during the day costs around 20 euros.<br \/>\nNote: you must know that\u00a0 there is not elevator so you have to use some stairs, is not recommended if you have a lot baggage<\/p>\n<p><strong>By taxi<\/strong><br \/>\nit takes between 10 \/ 15 minutes. \u00a0The cost is around \u20ac18 &#8211; \u20ac25<\/p>\n<p><strong>By bus<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is not a bus to connect the city and the airport except in the hours \u00a0when the train line is closed.<br \/>\nLate arrivals and departures can use the bus service at the following times:<br \/>\n&#8211; To the Airport from\u00a0 Cagliari take the bus \u201cPiazza Matteotti\u201d 23:30 to arrive at the \u00a0Airport 23:40<br \/>\n&#8211; From the Airport to Cagliari the bus schedule at 23:45 to arrive to Cagliari at 23:55<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rent a car<br \/>\n<\/strong>There are a lot of main rent companies\u00a0 located in the Airport<\/p>\n<p><strong>Local transport in Cagliari<br \/>\n<\/strong>Cagliari boasts one of the most efficient local transport systems in Italy . To get around Cagliari you can use the bus service, the metro overground or Cabubi bike sharing. Cycle lanes have increased threefold in the last 5 years. If you don\u2019t feel like walking, you can rent a car.
