Cagliari Airport to the city centre
By train
The train is a fast and easy way to go from Cagliari Elmas Airport to the city center and vice versa. The train service starts at 6.00 am and ends at 22.00 with trains running almost every 20 minutes. The journey to and from the center takes 5-10 minutes. Tickets are sold by Trenitalia at the vending machines (both in the arrivals area of the airport and inside the Elmas airport train station) or online. The Elmas airport train station is about a 5-minute walk from the arrivals area. The quickest option from the airport is to take a taxi. A standard trip during the day costs around 20 euros.
Note: you must know that there is not elevator so you have to use some stairs, is not recommended if you have a lot baggage

By bus
There is not a bus to connect the city and the airport except in the hours when the train line is closed.
Late arrivals and departures can use the bus service at the following times:
– To the Airport from Cagliari take the bus “Piazza Matteotti” 23:30 to arrive at the Airport 23:40
– From the Airport to Cagliari the bus schedule at 23:45 to arrive to Cagliari at 23:55

Local transport in Cagliari
Cagliari boasts one of the most efficient local transport systems in Italy . To get around Cagliari you can use the bus service, the metro overground or Cabubi bike sharing. Cycle lanes have increased threefold in the last 5 years. If you don’t feel like walking, you can rent a car. There is also a car-sharing service in town.

On largo Caro Felice continue through Piazza Yenne and turn left to “ Corso Vittorio Emanuele” just 100 mts o your right hand you will find the pathway turn right onto “porto scalas” straight you will find Via Sant’Ignazio da Laconi you keep going up the hill towards and turn right the Via San’Ignazio da Laconi continues and you will find the University of Cagliari. The conference is on the left entrance.
From via Roma by Via Sassari Head northwest on Via Roma toward Via Giovanni Maria Angioy (takes about 12 minutes)
Turn right onto Via Sassari, turn left onto Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, 11 m Turn right onto Vico Vittorio Emanuele II Take the stairs Turn left onto Via Porto Scalas.
Turn right onto Via Sant’Ignazio da Laconi you keep going up the hill towards and turn right the Via San’Ignazio da Laconi continues and you will find the University of Cagliari. The conference is on the left entrance.
By Foot from the Castello area (Takes about 15- 20 minutes)
Look for Piazza Arsenale
Head south on Piazza Arsenale toward Via Ubaldo Badas, Turn right onto Piazza Arsenale/Via Ubaldo Badas 20 m Continue onto Viale Buon Cammino 300 m
Turn left toward Via Frà Nicolò da Gesturi 19 m Turn left toward Via Frà Nicolò da Gesturi, 33 m Turn right onto Via Frà Nicolò da Gesturi 230 m Via Frà Nicolò da Gesturi turns slightly left and becomes Via Sant’Ignazio da Laconi, you will see Roman Amphiteather on you left and the Capuccini Catholic Church on your right just some meters down is the Business Administration department The conference is on your right entrance.
