BE-FLEX 2025 – BioElectronics in FLEXible Technologies<\/strong><\/span>
Cagliari, September 2 \u2013 3, 2025<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

BE-FLEX 2025 <\/strong>is an international symposium which will bring together the most excellent researchers in the field of flexible electronics<\/strong> and bioelectronics<\/strong>, with a particular focus on the development of biosensing<\/strong> and soft-robotics<\/strong> applications. The mission of BE-FLEX is to support the formation of a cross-disciplinary, international network of groups for the advancement of these fields, promoting an exchange of ideas of future materials, technologies and applications. This will be the 1st\u00a0<\/sup> edition<\/strong> of the conference, which will be held on September 2nd \u2013 3rd, 2025<\/strong> in Cagliari<\/strong>, Italy.<\/p>\n

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering<\/strong><\/a> at the University of Cagliari is a pioneer of organic flexible electronics in Italy, providing a significant contribution to the development of innovative sensing approaches in the field of bioelectronics, from device conception to its exploitation in different application scenarios. Recently, the partnership with the Biorobotic Institute<\/a><\/strong> at the Scuola Superiore Sant\u2019Anna<\/a><\/strong>, a leader group in the development of frontier research in the fields of biorobotics and bionics, is paving the way for expanding the horizons of flexible organic electronics towards the field of soft robotics.<\/p>\n

Cagliari<\/strong><\/a> is the capital and largest city of Sardinia<\/strong><\/a>, an autonomous region of Italy. The city\u2019s history goes back thousands of years, from pre-historic times to the reign of the Savoy. Today, it is the island\u2019s gateway port and main Mediterranean cruise liner hub. Settled on seven hills like Rome, Cagliari is a great combination of historical sites and natural areas which makes the city a very nice place to enjoy. The Castello<\/strong> quarter<\/strong><\/a> sits on the highest hill and boasts ancient bastions that today are the heart and soul of nightlife. Moreover, the city faces on a gorgeous, 9 km-long-beach, called Poetto<\/strong><\/a>, where people use to practice jogging, biking and having a drink or a dinner right in front of the sea. Cagliari is also a birdwatchers\u2019 dreamland, thanks to its huge wetland areas of Santa Gilla and Molentargius<\/a>,<\/strong> protected by the EU, with a rich and diverse wildlife, dominated by large colonies of pink flamingos.<\/p>\n
